In Ayurveda, dry skin brushing is called Gharshana. Raw silk gharshana gloves are used to exfoliate the skin. With vigorous brushing, the silk gloves release static electricity from the skin, supporting lymphatic flow and the appearance of smooth skin. Garshana is also said to minimize the appearance of cellulite.
LifeSpa’s Gharshana Gloves are handmade in small batches by a veteran-owned small business and manufactured in the USA using imported materials.
Gharshana Gloves Use:
Wash gloves before first use and between uses in cool water using a mild detergent. Before bathing and while still dry, vigorously massage your whole body towards your heart. Use long strokes on the limbs, and circles or half moons on the joints. Use gentle pressure on your face and neck. Follow with a shower and abhyanga (oil massage).
Package Contains: 1 pair of Gharshana Gloves (2pcs), 1 instruction card
In Ayurveda, a daily ritual of self-care is called dinacharya. This daily routine can become very elaborate but the basics are listed below. For a comprehensive Ayurvedic routine, check out our online course, the 28-Day Ayurveda Challenge.
